‘Chrysanthemums’ differ from other ‘Dresden Plate’ flowers in so far that they have ‘pointy’ petals!
This is our new LARGE Chrysanthemum.
Our large Chrysanthemum is made up of 12 petals and has an overall size of 10 inches (25 cm) in diameter (at the widest point).
The central Circle is appliqued on top and is of course supplied with the petals in the packets.
You can choose from 3 different packet sizes:
- containing all the paper pieces to make 1 flower
- containing all the paper pieces to make 3 flowers
- containing all the paper pieces to make 9 flowers
- acrylic template of the petal shape with 3/8th seam allowance

PLEASE NOTE:
The finished Chrysanthemum Flowers are appliqued onto a background fabric (like all Dresden Plate flowers!). It is advised to leave the paper pieces in place for the applique stage, because it keeps the petals in shape and stops the flower from being distorted!! The papers are removed afterwards by trimming back the excess backing fabric (behind the flower) to expose the paper pieces.
This Chrysanthemum also tessellates with the rounded petals of our large 12-petal Dresden Plate – you could alternate the different petals in a new flower!
