120/90 degree Pentagon

The 120/90 degree Pentagon is a quirky variation of the classic Pentagon which tessellates with various other shapes to make medallion-like patterns.
Its base is shorter than the other sides!
This means that the internal angles are also changed. The ‘roof’ angle is 120 degrees and the sides have 90 degree angles (as indicated in the diagram).
We currently offer several sizes to choose from which tessellate with various other shapes (a few examples are given below under ‘Description’)

The 1″ 120/90 deg Pentagon has a 0.75″ base (bottom) and tessellates amongst others with: 1″ 60 deg Diamond, 2″ Hexagon and 0.75″ Hexagon.
The 1.75″ 120/90 deg Pentagon has a 1.25″ base (bottom) and tessellates amongst others with: 1.25″ Hexagon. In Willyne Hammersteins ‘Everyone is different’ pattern from Millefiori Quilts 4 it is used together with our new 1″ 90/30 degree Kite, our 1″ Classic Kite and 1.25″ 60 deg Triangle!
